Dalai Lama, the 14th incarnate and religious leader of Tibet, was born. He was born to Tenzin Gyotso (His Holiness the VIVth Dalai Lama) in Taksten Village, Chhija Nangso, Tibet. He was awarded with Nobel Prize for Peace in 1989.

5/4/1783	Tipu Sultan was enthroned as the ruler of Mysore after the death of Haider Ali in a simple ceremony at Bednur. He continued the Second Mysore War against the English. He defeated many EnglishGenerals like Brithwhite & Col. Bailey. Tipu Sultan signed the treaty at Mangalore on 11th March 1784 A.D. which was known as the Mangalore treaty.

As he started his career as a slave, the dynasty founded by him in India is known as ""Slave Dynasty"". The construction of Qutabminar was started during his regime. Since he was very generous, the people called him ""Lakh Baksh"".
