Arijit Singh was born on 25th April 1987 at Murshidabad in West Bengal. He is an Indian playback singer and has lent his voice for numerous Bollywood films.
After extensive training for years, Arijit Singh was lucky to be among the top six contestants on the reality show Fame Gurukul in the year 2005 and won the hearts of the audiences with his dedication and sincerity towards his craft. He was also the winner of the reality show- 10 ke 10 le gaye dil and has performed live at many stage shows.
Arijit became assistant director to the famous music director Pritam and he got his first break from music directors Shankar Ehsaan Loy, in the song All For One' from the album High School Musical volume 2, in the year 2007.
As his popularity grew he has bagged many numbers for films such as Murder 2, Players, Shanghai, 1920: Evil Returns, 3G, Agent Vinod, Aashiqui 2.
Arijit Singh has also sung title song for the television soap Madhubala - Ek Ishq Ek Junoon which is aired on Colors.
In the year 2012 he won the Mirchi Musical Awards for Upcoming male vocalist of the year for Barfi! And Shanghai.
Arijit is a man of great promise and is a versatile and talented singer who has risen with sheer grit and hard work.
