Moong Daal with Watermelon : Indian Food & Cooking Recipes

Ingredients
1 cup green moong daal soaked for an hour
2 cups cut up watermelon rind(white)
1 tb oil
1 tb garam masaala
haldi
salt to taste
shredded fresh coconut(optional)
chopped coriander (garnish)


Cooking Instructions
heat up oil, add garam masala; saute few seconds
add soaked daal,rind and saute for few minutes
add enough water to cover the contents
cook them covered
shold be done in 15-20 min on medium heat
add salt,coconut,haldi. stir well
garnish with chopped coriander
enjoy with rice or fulkas
